A big plus: thanks to the vertical east-west mounting, the yield per PV module is approx. 10% higher than with the same module mounted horizontally.

In strong winds, the modules are deflected by the restoring weight. Although this system does not need to be pinned or otherwise anchored to the ground, it cannot tip over.
The fact that the modules are installed without penetrating the ground can be particularly exciting for areas that were previously out of the question for photovoltaics, e.g. former landfill sites or water protection areas.
